Hi there, recently my school announced that there was a virus on their computers which turn folders in thumbdrives to shortcuts, and i have unfortunately gotten it.

I have tried malwarebytes, but it dosent seem to work. All my files on the thumbdrive would just turn to shortcuts again. This problem is leaving me so frustrated im even considerating restoring the computer to factory settings. Can i please get some help on this issue?

PS: I am using windows 7
