Hey guys,

This question is by no surprising going to strike many of you as "noobie", and I apologize for it.

It is a rather general question regarding FTP transfers.

I currently run a Minecraft (game) server that players log into frequently.  Well, I am downloading the entire server (all of the files, everything.) to disk (which is over 3 gigs of data).

My question is, should I shut down the server while I do this?  I figure since things may change in the server throughout the download, could this possibly corrupt anything, or cause issues?

Thank you.
