So I use Chrome as my main browser
I'm not sure how (I thinks when I was trying to download a certain video converter)
but yahoo toolbar was installed on my browser as an extension. Since then other extensions and Chrome apps haven't been working properly.

When I start Chrome, I get a notification that the toolbar has been installed.
No matter what I was doing before, if I close all the windows and reopen a Chrome window Chrome notifies me that it shut down improperly and asks me to restore the previous session. (even if I did shut it down properly)

Whenever I try to shut down my laptop properly, or close it for an extended period of time and try to start it again my computer gives me a notification that it was shut down improperly.

I have gone to add/remove programs in the control panel and removed the toolbar.  I still keep getting a notification that it was installed on Chrome every time I reopen it though.

Any help?

That is because Chrome is pulling it off of Google's servers, from when it synced & updated extensions and everything else.  You need to purge your synced information for Chrome, along with uninstall Chrome, to get rid of this.  First make sure that you uninstall the App & extension for Yahoo Toolbar in Chrome, before doing the following.

Go to https://www.google.com/settings/chrome/sync after you close Chrome (can paste the link in Internet Explorer or Firefox). Then click on the "Stop & Clear" button at the bottom.  That will flush everything out that has been synced with the browser, to the Google sync servers.

Thanks for the info. When I "Stop & Clear" that will completely get rid of everything?  I really can't have that happen across my 4 devices, I use a lot of extensions and have a ton of bookmarks for work.
