I have an old laptop than was broken. At first it says

Warning: The AC adapter type cannot be determined. this will prevent optical system performance. Please check AC adapter connect properly, remove AC adapter and plug-in it again, thanks.

Press <F1> to continue.....

Press <F2> 2 times to enter SETUP

Press <F12> and Any Key to enter Boot Menu

I press F1, then it says

BOOTMGR is missing

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

I have some important files in there I need back. Whats the easiest way to get to them?

Have you tried cleaning the plug ends and tried? Sometimes dust will cause problems.
