I'm known on the internet as Ganix, and I'm a 20-year-old computer enthusiast with a familiarity in computers, having obtained several vendor-neutral IT certifications and being a self-employed (and self-proclaimed) computer repair technician since early 2010. My hobbies consist mostly of working on websites, practicing Blackjack, and creating stained glass pieces (as well as playing video games, of course).

I've perused this site numerous times while performing Google searches for various things, and finally decided to sign up. This seemed like a really cool community to join, and I feel that I could benefit greatly from the insight and advice of the more knowledgeable members and that I could potentially aid other members with their problems.

I hope to learn as much as possible now that I'm here!

(PS: Due to not wanting to sound overly-pretentious in my choice of syntax, I should mention that my "formal" choice of words is due to the fact that I have high-functioning autism, specifically Asperger's Syndrome—I use the most specific words in my vocabulary to express my ideas, explanations, and concerns while making sure to not put significant effort into over-analyzing my speech. Admittedly, the fact that I'm currently drunk isn't helping to keep this short and sweet, so I apologize for that. Okay, I should stop this postscript while I'm ahead.)

Again, I look forward to many new experiences here!

It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don't agree. The wounds remain. Time - the mind, protecting its sanity - covers them with some scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it is never gone. Rose Kennedy
