Yes if you reinstall the OS(Windows Operating System) it's like going back to default right out of the box. No OS = No known settings.

hi animal, nice to talk to you! :orange:

1.the settings change.

what about the drivers?

do the drivers change?

for example, if all of the drivers, plus unneeded ones have been installed as well,

and you reinstall windows, will those drivers (bad ones, possible corruption or conflicts) still be there?

like the yellow triangle or circle with a black exclaimation point,

or the red "x" through the device icon.

Reinstalling Windows wipes the slate clean. Therefore you should already have copies of all your drivers and other critical software prior to wiping your OS and reinstalling. Once you reinstall the next step is drivers and settings.

Looks like you're having an issue with motherboard chipset drivers. I am so not a hardware expert by any stretch. So I hope someone with better hardware troubleshooting skills can answer you.

System manufacturer and model?

What steps (exactly) did you take to "reinstall" Windows?

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

These logs are for others to help you.

Your Speccy link is just a Screen shot without any details, not a Speccy link as requested -

Please post a snapshot with Speccy as this may give us a bit more to look at -
Publish a Snapshot using Speccy << Follow These Directions (only post the given link)

As you may have altered your Operating System in some ways, and all errors are over 30 days old, it would help if you posted a fresh MiniToolBox report -

Spell Edit -

hi noknojon,

"These logs are for others to help you."
so i'm not allowed to learn anything?
"what am i supposed to be looking for from the "mini Toolbox" program?
what is it supposed to "show" me, or "do"?
how does it help me?"

i tried publishing the speccy picture but it wouldn't work.
but that does not matter anyways because i posted the picture of the results on the link.
