how the cracks of the softwares like Internet Download Manager are made

I have seen many softwares having crack to use the softwares free. Can anyone tell me how the cracks of these softwares are programmed to make them work for free.

They reverse engineer the code and remove the copy protection checks.  If you're lucky that is all they do.  If you're not lucky they also add a little bit of code of their own that is probably not in your best interest, keyboard logging, remote access tools, and other fun and exciting bad ware.


If you can't afford to buy it, find an alternative product, downloading free crack such as these will lead to you coming back here posting "My machine is infected" posts.

Not to mention that using cracked software or encouraging the use of cracked or pirated software is against forum rules of Bleeping Computer.

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.
