I bought my wife a Dell Inspiron with Win7 and would like to save her Address Book and some Word Docs from her old Compaq Presario and restore them to the new Dell.

I'm having trouble finding a simple way to do this.

I put the WAB from hers onto a CD-R/W and put in my computer (also a Dell Insp. W7) and it wants to format the disk and it is taking forever.

Any ideas appreciated.

Windows Easy Transfer.  I've never used it personally, but this is what it is designed to do.
