I got the joy of seeing my 6 year old grand-daughter being happy with what Santa left under the tree for her. She was worried that Santa would not know she would be at Nana's house and there would not be anything left for her.  I also got the gift of my son returning to the United States after living out of the country for 10 years. He is now an hour away from me instead of a long flight away. Now I'm looking forward to the day when his daughter and his wife are able to join him in the United States.

Tomorrow, the day after Christmas, my family will get together at my aunt's house for what will likely be my aunt's last Christmas with us. The best gift for me is being able to spend the day with the ones I love.

While it is nice to get "things" that is not what Christmas (and life in general) is about. Instead, it's being with the people who you care about and who care about you and the memories of those times.

I got to cook some good food that we are about to partake of! I get to be with the people I care about the MOST and love (minus 1 or 2 who can't be here).

:)

We love to get gift cards to fantastic restaurants that we can then enjoy together later (we exchanged Ruth's Chris and Sushi Zushi) and vouchers for movie tix to the Drafthouse Cinema too. I love going there cuz you get order awesome food and eat and get alcoholic beverages if you wish, and I do too.

I got some beautiful towels and a set of espresso cups and saucers and other goodies too.

But the best part is getting to spend time with my loved ones.

OK so that's lots of 'gets' and 'gettings' so you get the idea! LOL

Wonderful post widf9.jpg

I spent Christmas with Mom and my nephew, an every-year occasion.

atsprm.jpg delivered on time :), my usual requests.... DVD's....  I'm a big TV/DVD collector, mostly of older shows.
