I have been using Incredimail for several years. I like their spam filter, but have been running a down level version because they took the function out of the current versions and want a subscription with additional monthly fee.

I recently received a complaint from a friend asking me why I keep including an ad for emoticons on the bottom of all my emails. I was floored. He had copied me on my email and there was NO emoticon bar on the bottom of my email. So I fired up Mozilla Thunderbird and there it was! Incredimail strips this ad off of any mail so that the original user isn't aware they are probigating this spam.

Evidently there's no way to disable this bit of nasty behavior. I did find references to the gif, IMSTP.gif in some of the DLL's, but that gif doesn't appear in any of the directories.

So I have been sending out ads in my emails that have been hidden from me even when I get a copied answers from responding to my email! This inspite of having paid them to be a "Premium" subscriber with no ads.

I am going to dump Incredimail and go with Courier or Thunderbird.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
