hey guys, i have a problem that i cant seem to solve! Im not very good with computers. Last night i was doing a repair install of windows xp and i accidentally shut the computer down while it was doing the second half of the repair. Yeah, stupid i know, but i just want to know how to make it work again. After that it, when i'd reboot, it would show the xp logo and then no login screen, just black with a white movable cursor. Ive tried doing the cd repair again with the same results, there is NO safe mode and NO taskmanager, just black screens forever. I tried fixboot and fixmbr, i tried to restore to an earlier date through the repair console. I tried every suggestion ive come across (mostly from this site) and even tried to load ubuntu to find my stuff (which didnt show up). All my things couldnt havebeen deleted that fast right? Am i going to have to take my hd out and hook it up to a working computer to rescue my files? Thank you in advance.
