I have recently installed windows 7 professional OS in my HP pavilion m6 notebook. When I reviewed my system I saw that out of total of 6 GB ram only 2.98 is usable. What does this mean. Also it says that my windows system is 32bit but iamnt sure about it. Does the instillation DVD plays role on whether the system is 32 bits or 64 bits.... Help

You're going to have to reinstall with the 64-bit version to see all of the RAM.  Look at the DVD and see if it indicates if it is 32-bit.  My Windows 7 package came with one disk for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.

A 32-bit Windows operating system will recognize up to 4GB of RAM, but will not be able to utilize the total amount because the address space is only 4GB in size.  The draw from critical functions such as the system BIOS, motherboard resources, memory mapped I/O, PCI, PCI-E, other memory allocations for PCI devices use this space as well.  Because of this a 32-bit operating system will typically only recognize between 3GB and 3.5GB of RAM.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
