Sorry about the title I couldn't think of anything else.

Anyways, here are the rules for the game.

each game has 2-4 players+1 moderator. to start, the players all send a coordinate to start at to the moderator. if the coords are the same the mod will place them next to each other, but neither gets the coord they wanted.

The starting point MUST be a desert plain or forest.
the player starts with a castle at that area.
the player also starts with 1 soldier and 5 wood
in order to build a house, you must have a soldier in that space, and the soldier dies. to upgrade to a castle, the house is removed.
to upgrade a unit, the unit is removed and replaced by the new unit.
every unit may move during every turn.
if there is not enough food to sustain your soldiers, the lowest possible ranking units that are farthest from the nearest house or castle dies first.

each turn, all 4 players send in their moves, either through coords in chess style, or by manipulating a picture with a list of actions. the moderator will resolve any conflicting actions.

they will be resolved like this:
>food
>attacks
>moves
>builds/upgrades
>anything else relevent

This is the map I will use for the first game

And here is the description of all the grid squares

M = Mountains, Passable only by soldiers

D = Desert, any soldier or knight in this square at the end of a turn costs 2 more food that turn, can build here, houses produce no food/ Castles produce 1 food per turn

G = Plains, can build Houses and Castles here, houses produce 1 food per turn, and Castles produce 2 food per turn

F = Forest, a house here yields 1 wood per turn, castles yield 1 food 1 wood

W = Water, impassable, increases the output of any adjacent house or castle by 1
