On my partners new computer

when it starts up with only the battery the screen automatically goes a faded black. What i mean is

i can vaguely see the cursor moving around the screen.

when the power cord is plugged in there is no issues.

I am thinking maybe the pc must be entering sleep mode when the pc starts up.

Will adjusting the power settings solve this or is there something else i might be missing.

Adjusting the power setting will solve that problem.
