I can't remove Anti Virus Pro. I downloaded and installed rkill. It ran and said that "no issues existed". I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti Malware, but the Antivirus won't let it open because it is an exec. The Anti Virus Pro won't let ANY exec. files open (because that's what will allow IT to be uninstalled). I have read the tutorial on bleepingcomputer regarding the removal of Anti Virus Pro,but there is no reference to not being able to open/run mbam.exec. Any ideas on how to remove Anti Virus Pro without having to wipe the drive and reinstall my o.s.??? I tried starting in ALL forms of safe mode, but it shuts that down right away. It won't even let me open task manager so I can stop it's process! Thanks. I am running Windows7 pro s.p.1 on a dell xps laptop.

Hello -

Are you stable to run in Any Mode (safe or normal) With Networking ?

You will need to use Malwarebytes Chameleon technologies get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware installed and running when blocked by malicious programs.
Usage - Click on the link I have left to access the Chameleon page -
Directions once the link opens -
Download Chameleon from the link to the right.
Unzip the contents to a folder in a convenient location. (Desktop usually).
Follow the instructions in the included Chameleon CHM Help File
Or if the help file will not open, simply try to run the files by double-clicking on them one by one until one of them remains open, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Please start there -
Also try this uninstaller link from M/soft http://support.microsoft.com/Mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/
Thank You -
