I'm having an issue getting my USB 3.0 ports on the front side of my PC to recognize any peripherals. In device manager, the drivers for the Ethernet control and USB controller show that they are not installed. I have tried to search for the drivers with no success. Below are the specs for my PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Corsair Carbide 300R

AMD FX-6300 Black

Gigabyte GA -990 FXA UD3

Roswill Green Series 530W

Kingston Hyper Blue 2GB x 2

WD Blue 500 GB 7200

Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD

Asus 24X DVD SATA Optical Drive

Radeon Saphire 6870 1GB

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64Bit EOM

You just need to download them from the Gigabyte Website

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4672&dl=1#dl

These are for Version 4 of the hardware, They may be different for

GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev. 4.0)

Alternatively You should have received a Drivers disk with the Motherboard

If You are only using the Generic Drivers installed By Windows you are not getting all the performance from the Motherboard.

Please use the Gigabyte drivers for best performance.

Good Luck

Roger

Thanks Rotor! I was able to get my front panel USB's working. I had to find the right model of my motherboard which I couldn't locate through windows, so I just looked up my order history on Amazon. Also took a little while to find the USB Driver which I eventually found under the BIOS updates. Problem solved!

I'm glad to hear the problem is solved. Who would even think that a USB3 driver goes in the BIOS updates section?

Thank You for reporting back

Roger
