I'm new to this site and hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

My escape key suddenly quit working. I use this key a lot in excel and am not sure of any way to circumnavigate it.

I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue or there could be a software issue that could be corrected with a driver update???

Thanks for the help.

Hello :welcome: To bleepingcomputer.

Is this a laptop keyboard? If you try and wiggle it around a bit while you are pressing it does it seem to work? Try cleaning your keyboard as something may be stuck under the key and not allowing it to register when pushed.

If I have replied to a topic and you reply and I haven't gotten back to you within 48 hours (2 days) then send me a P.M.

Odds are the key has failed.  Can you connect a different keyboard and see if the problem occurs with a different keyboard?

Is this a laptop or desktop?
