I am not that computer literate, although I can follow instructions etc,the ads I am getting appear on most of  the page I go to,they open a new window when I dont even click on them and if I try to close them it still opens the page, also on pages there are several words on the pages that are highlighted in green and if you hover, its another ad that is not connected to the site I am on,its driving me crazy,

I have recently downloaded superantispyware and it found several items, but I am still holding my breath as to whether it has worked,as the green headings are still there on my pages and I dont really want them to be there,I dont know if they are normal, they just appeared,

I am hoping to get some help with this problem, cheers for your interest and lets hope we can resolve this problem

Okay that is crazy I have the same exact problem with the green words and such. Even in your own paragraph I see them.

I tried MBAM and it did not fix my problem.

And i'm also hoping to fix these problems. Sorry that I can't help, I would if I knew how to get rid of this damn thing but it won't work.

Also, I just got a reply on my thread : http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/516571/massive-adware-issue/

Check it out, I haven't tried it yet but it's worth a try!

Also, take a look at my symtoms maybe we have the same exact virus.

Step 1: In your browser extension or add ons there will something that doesn't look like it should be there. It will have a keyword like Keeper or something close to it.

  • If so immediately remove the extension and restart the browser.
  • If you did this correctly there should not be anymore annoying pop up ads
  • If so, please do step 2 to insure that this will not happen again.

Step 2:

ADW Cleaner

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Please note it will select some files. Before clicking "clean" make sure to browse through the selected files and make sure there is nothing there checked that you don't want removed.
  • Click on Clean.
  • Confirm each time with Ok.
  • You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that log file with your next reply.
  • You can find the log file at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
