Hello everyone

I have been having issues with my icons going white. the only way to get them back to normal is to log off and log back in. but after a few clicks most go white again. very anoying!!

I have researched this problem but I don't want to mess with the registry or anything else as I don't know much about the internal guts of the system.

Can anyone help with this issue? is there a fix?

thanks in advance for your response.

Go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local, where [username] is the logged on user. If you cannot see the AppData folder follow the instructions here -http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows-vista/.

Delete the file IconCache.db and then restart your system.
