Im convinced that bin laden is a long time dead, i dont believe that the voice recordings of him are genuine.

Does any BC members hold the same opinion?

What reasons do you have?

This should be in speak easy forum??

Anyways I think he is alive. He was not just some dumb guy who was supported by strong people like Sadam. Bin laden was a strong guy according to the people who used to work with him.

Yes the tapes can be faked but they have not found a body either.

I don't know why, but I've got a feeling that he's died. Over the last few months (in England anyway) there has been little in the news about him, and a lack of video tapes made by his supporters. Due to this, I will put my neck on the line, and say that "I think he's dead"
However, even if he is dead (or when he does die) Islamic extremism will live on, there are plently more to replace him.

Also, I cannot really see why he is such an idol to many extremists. HE hasn't actually done anything, but gets others to do the dirty work for him. After they have carried out their 'duty' he claims all responsibility, and that he personally organised it all. He will never become a suicide bomber, he doesn't have the guts to do it! Therefore, he is getting young, and vulnerable people to do it for him, taking advantage of their naivity.

It does not take guts to become a suicide bomber. They are cowardly sheep who are puppets to a misguided belief.

Guts is making a tough decision and living with the consequences.

Or in the case of flight 93, those people had guts, Making an extremely tough decision, in order to save lives of innocent people.

They are true heros , ordinary people..people with guts...

I understand the point you are making, i just hate associating courage or guts with any of those cowards.

I didn't mean it like that, it was just my way of making a point..
I meant that he would never be able to do it, not have the guts. After reading over what I said, and your comment, I realise that it came out wrong..I definatelydid not mean to portray suicide bombers as heroes, in fact, I see them as completely the opposite.

I believe he is alive. Even the government claims he is after the recent tapes.

He's dead. I ate him. I had his liver with Fava beans.

It was a bit gamey, I must say. The beans were good though.

And the government is INFALIBLE!!!!

I really don't have an opinion whether he is alive or dead. We haven't seen anything to indicate that he IS dead, so until then, i think we should just continue to believe that he is still alive, and still has the power to call the shots. Until a body pops up, we shouldn't think that he's dead...

Agreed. If Bin Laden was believed to be dead or could be proven dead the US government would come out and say it because it would make the US gov't look good.

I believehe is still alive unfortunately. He's in that section of Pakistan that just loves Al Qaida. Why is he alve is my question. But I do hope he gets it, as I don't want to pay 10 cents to keep him in a prison.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

He is alive. He is hiding in the middle east at the same Holiday Inn he was at on 9/11/01. We are not actually looking for him. That would cause the US to have no reson to be in the middle east anymore as soon as they found him.
