Need Flash Player

Why am I getting  the notice " Need Flash Player" to play a video, when Flash is installed on my Win 7 pc and is enabled on my Internet explorer browser?  I have also downloaded a more up to date version and it still does not work.

If you're running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 you probably need the 32-bit version of Flash.  There are two versions of Internet Explorer, 32-bit and 64-bit, they both use different versions of Flash.  Odds are you installed the 64-bit version of Flash and are using the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer to view the video.

Please post the make and model of this computer.

 

 
Double click on the download and choose to run the program.
 
A screen similar to the one below will open, click any key to run the program.

When the scan is finished you will have a log similar to the one below, copy and then paste your log in your next post.

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  When the  FileHippo website opens, click on Download latest version in the upper left pane.
 
When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.
 
The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.

It is a known bug for some users on IE11 with a similar related article published.
