I have not been able to find an email address for the author of the Junkware Removal Tool that is promoted by BleepingComputer, but I believe I am seeing some posts from him or her, so I hope he/she picks up on this post and replies...

JRT ran to the point where it said Checking Registry.  Then a pop-up window appeared with the title regedit.exe - Unable to locate component.  In the window, alongside a red X was this: This application has failed to start because the AUTHZ.dll file was not found. Re-installing this application may fix this problem.  There's just an OK button.

I don't know where to go from here.  Is the dialog referring to regedit?  How would one re-install regedit?  Is there a way to restore the AUTHZ.dll file it thinks is missing?  Or is there something wrong with JRT?

Hope someone can help.

Thanks!
