1st of all hi.

My son downloaded a pop up believing it to be an adobe update, this caused all sorts of problems with his laptop.

I managed to get rid of a few trojans that malwarebytes found.

But now he is experiencing some very annoying problems.

  • Windows security center cant be started
  • No system restore is availible, can only create new 1 from todays date
  • Cant download any programs, just says flie as a virus
  • New web pages are re-directed to shopping pages etc.

I have tried restarting in safe mode with networking, but still all the above problems exist. also malwarebytes does not find anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard p22002758.gif

It looks like you're infected with ZeroAccess rootkit.
