I am currently have a number of problems after lending a laptop to a cousin for a week for school. Now I have a damn bar of some sort that I don't want nor put there, plus I am experiencing other issues with Chrome in that it won't load as it used too by having my most used sites there and such. I am afraid that there might be more issues as there is also a pop up that comes up at startup. Please assist me with this as I suck at diaging and fixing issues. Thanks

The first thing I would do is  to download Revo Uninstaller. I like this program because it searches a for all traces the Windows uninstaller leaves behind. Anyway, ( there is a fully functional free version) check for any programs there that don't belong and uninstall them, then run the advanced seatrch for traces and delete them as well. I'd also run a scan with malwarebytes or the antispyware of your choice to see if there was any adware installed. That might do it for you.
