Hello All,

I need to reinstall  windows 7 on my laptop but my problem is my laptop never came with any discs.

So what can i do.

If i borrow someone else's disc, will my product key still work?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

assuming its still running you should be able to start it by tapping F8 at start up and going to repair my computer, then running restore factory defaults option. don't forget to backup your user files first

Ok

i have scrolled to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Recovery\Advanced Recovery Methods

i see 2 options.

1.use a system image   2.Reinstall windows(which requires installation disc).

Nothing for factory settings.Which i presume should be here.

Toshiba makes many models...what is your specific Toshiba system?

Laptops generally come with a mechanism for reinstalling Windows via a built-in reocfery/restore mechanism.
