Hi there,

I'm having problems with my PC running Windows 7 64 bit. I just used a guide on this site to finally (hopefully) fully remove HotSpot Shield. Before removing HSS, and now after hopefully successfully removing it I've had the problem of many windows programs/services crashing upon launch or when executing certain functions that connect to the internet within the program. I'm not much of a tech person so I'm not certain if these issues are related to something left behind by HSS or some other problem on my PC.

For reference the guide I used to remove HSS can be found on this page. If needed here I can post the logs from the programs.

As I am uncertain if this is a malware issue or an unrelated Windows issue please forgive me for posting in this thread if it turns out to be malware.

Thanks for your help!

Just a quick update. Launching in Safe Mode seems to resolve the issue temporarily.

Hello this is the problem when following anothers removal process..
I suspect you then ran ComboFix, if so then we need to see that and a DDS log ......
Please follow this Preparation Guide, do steps 6,7 and 8 and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.
