I installed Windows(not an install USB, it has the OS) on my 64GB USB stick, but when I boot into the USB(in the HDD's list) it just says

"Loading Operating System

Press any key to boot to CD/DVD"

then a blinking cursor...

I have 1 CD/DVD drive with nothing in it.

My specs are

Gigabyte: GA-880GM-USB3 motherboard

NVidia GeForce 8800 GT(I'm upgrading it)

AMD Phenom II X6(1090T) Not overclocked at ~3.2GHz

8GB DDR3 RAM

BIOS version: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG

USB drive has to be recognized as a bootable hard drive. Has to be NTFS, AFAIK.

You have to install a boot loader onto the USB as well.

I've tried this several times with no success. Apparently you have to have a USB stick with a interchangeable 'bit'. And they don't make them like that anymore. Samsung had some years ago, but not anymore.

What version of Windows, anyway?

The USB is in NTFS, but how would I get a boot loader on the USB? Would I need a second partition?

Windows is on the flashdrive, not the install ISO.

Running windows off a USB is a big fish story- I've heard of people doing it, but never seen it done.
