Can someone help? I have a HP G72 17.3 w/Intel mobile i3 370m processor Windows 7 Home Premium. The laptop started shutdown periodically. So, I unassembled to clean dust out and replace thermal compound. When I reassembled it would not start. The light on power button just blinked. So, I unassembled again to make sure I did not forget to plug something in etc. When I reassembled same thing happened. It did not start. I pressed down on laptop and it started. It worked for a little while, but when I tapped laptop it shutdown abruptly. Now, the laptop starts right away. Sometimes it doesn't. It sound like when a car has no juice and trying to turnover. The fan rotates and stops within a few seconds it tries to turn on again. The laptop is really being weird. Sometimes if I shake, it start too,.

While waiting for further suggestions, have you tried looking into the PDF maintenance service manual and to the online Beep and LED lights diagnostic already?
