Trouble after resetting Chrome

I had a "nastie" Had to reset Chrome. Now I must go to settings and log in every time

that I click Chrome browser icon.

How can I make it permanent. I am the only user.


Added : I appears there are traces of an old gmail account that I thought was gone.

It will not delete in Crome.


Help?     I use XP home, IE7
