Recently I quit gaming after 16 years of doing it. I'm 31 now so yea, I gotto think my future ish.

I'm one of those people who like addiction. So, I'm looking for a new addiction. But unlike my 16 years of gaming which was useless. I want my new addiction to be bit rewarding. Something that doesnt need any mechanical or technical knowledge.

Something that prolly equal or better than gaming. My cousin suggested blogging. Its boring like hell.

I like learning new things. Suggest me something, anything I will try.

I am a big gamer if would like to converse that would be fun. I'm having some technical issues with directX right now but as soon as I am back up and running. I would love to speak with you. Maybe you have some info about stuff I need! or like.

Cheers!

Chess? Kind of gaming with the potential for learning in there as well.

If you're creative you could build web sites.. It's a mob of fun and pretty challenging. With 'new' CSS editors like Conctrete5 it's much easier than it used to be. In the end you have something to show for it also........

Here's a whole mob of beginner stuff...

My wife into it, someone set up a template for her and she did a lot of the work on this site... as a complete beginner, with little/no tech knowledge.

If your seriously considering the website thing. Get Photoshop!  or CorelDraw suite (cheaper but still very good) It'll help a lot and you can never learn it all, it seems.

Ahhh... now how do you keep your computer nasty free? Although, now there is a new good addiction, learning how to get rid of those nasties...

But until then, I'll leave you gentlemen with this...

I had a non gaming addiction once. Free Stuff. There are a few good sites to find that post actual real no BS free stuff. (make a 2nd email addy for this because it will cause lots of spam)

when i did it it i was getting 3-4 samples a day or other really great things like board games (thank you cranium!) but it started to consume a lot of time especially once u mix in rebate promotions and coupons! it becomes addicting but you benefit financially.

or you could maybe take up an in person game like DodgeBall or Roller Derby! or running ooo or target shooting

another good thing you could do is start a small account of 200$ and do some day trading focusing on stocks at their lowest historical point that most likely will bounce back. i made a nice return that way once.

maybe volunteer at big brothers and make good karma your new addiction ;) that takes 2-7+ hours a month depending on your desire to do more.

have fun.. hope my Virus gets fixed soon im soooo bored..

Fast cars, lifted trucks, Rollin' coal, guns, model trains, Snap-on tools, cows, micro brews, working out , etc. There are plenty of hobbies to eat up the downtime and your spare cash.

Most of my other addictions are also electronics related.  Amateur radio has always been a peaceful endeavour with some experiences with new people make it quite enjoyable.  Jigsaw puzzles, usually big ones, two or three thousand pieces can make time just disappear.  Fast cars leads to greasy hands and the keyboard doesn't have an overlay.  Photography has been a never ending learning process but can be expensive.
