Hello again, everyone!  So, I got 2 more new problems on both of my computers.  The first problem is on my Windows 7 laptop.  There are times when I want to open a web page & it won't load up quickly.  I have to wait like 30 seconds to a minute until it loads up.  Then, everything works fine for 30 minutes to an hour until the Internet gets slow to load up again & then everything works fine again.  This has been happening for the last couple of months.  My laptop isn't even that old.  It is 2 years old.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Is this occurring at only one website?

Are these two computers on a network?

Are they both connected to the same router?

If so, are they connected by wifi?

Sorry that I didn't reply quickly enough.  I was caught up with other stuff.  DC3, this is only happening on the Windows 7 laptop.  I'm thinking that I might have a virus or that something is wrong with a program.  I don't mean to sound impatient, but I need help soon.

Please answer my questions in my last post.

Between the holiday and reinstalling my operating system I've been very busy as well.

DC3, to answer your questions:

1.  The Windows 7 laptop is on a network, but the Windows XP desktop is not.

2.  Yes, they are both connected to the same router.

3.  The laptop is connected to wifi, but the desktop is not.

Try connecting the laptop with via ethernet cable to see if there is an appreciable difference in speed.

Try pinging the website that is slow to open, then ping several others to see if there is a speed issue with just the one website.

Sorry about keeping you waiting.  It's just when I'm accessing the Internet.  Like I said before, I'm probably sure I have a virus or some bad program on my computer or whatnot.

G'day MFC1982,

If we run the following scans, it will help rule out the presence of malware etc,

Please run the scans in the order I have listed them.

You can post the results back one at a time or all together, whatever you are comfortable with

Copy and paste the results.....do not attach.

1.   Download Security Check by Screen317 from HERE
* Save it to your Desktop.
* Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
* Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
* A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
Note: If a security program requests permission to access the Internet, allow it to do so.

Download  MiniToolBox MiniToolBox, Save it to your desktop and run it.
Close any Firefox browsers you may have open
Checkmark the following boxes:
•Flush DNS
•Report IE Proxy Settings
•Reset IE Proxy Settings
•Report FF Proxy Settings
•Reset FF Proxy Settings
•List content of Hosts
•List IP configuration
•List last 10 Event Viewer log
•List Installed Programs
•List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
•List Minidump Files

Click Go and copy / paste the result (Result.txt).

Please download Rkill (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com) to your desktop.
There are 2 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one.
You only need to get one of these to run, not all of them. You may get warnings from your antivirus about this tool,  If you get a message that RKill is an infection, do not be concerned. This message is just a fake warning given by the infection when it terminates programs that may potentially remove it. If you run into these infections warnings that close RKill, a trick is to leave the warning on the screen and then run RKill again. By not closing the warning, this typically will allow you to bypass the malware trying to protect itself so that RKill can terminate the Infection that we are attempting to get rid of. So, please try running RKill until the malware is no longer running. You will then be able to proceed with the rest of the guide. Do not reboot your computer after running RKill as the malware programs will start again.

rKill.exe: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/dl/10/http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/dl/10/
iExplore.exe (renamed rKill.exe): http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/dl/11/

* Double-click on the Rkill desktop icon to run the tool.
* A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
* If not, delete the file, then download and use the one provided in Link 2.
* Do not reboot until instructed.
* If the tool does not run from any of the links provided, please let me know.

  Please Download  AdwCleaner
* Close all open programs and internet browsers.
* Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
* Click on the Scan button.
* When the scan has finished click on the
Clean button.
* NOTE : Your computer will be
rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
* Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
* You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner.txt as well.
Once I OK the log, please click the Uninstall button to fully remove all

5   Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
The tool will open and start scanning your system.
Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.
