So my laptop was infected with a trojan virus which made my laptop unsafe to browse on the internet. I decided to reformat and reinstall windows 7 after getting some advice in the other forum. I followed the steps to download windows 7 with a disk, but now everything looks magnified/is widescreen. I'm not sure what to do!

how about changing resolution.

  1. Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_47., clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings.
  2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply

Did you download & install drivers from the manufacturers site?

Make and model of the laptop?
