I fear this could be more of an electrical problem than a computing problem.

On the upper floor of my house, powerline works satisfactorily in 2 rooms, but not at all in others.

This floor has its own circuit breaker.

What could be going wrong?

For what its worth - and I don't think it makes a lot of difference - I'm using Netgear XAV5001 Powerline adapters. I have tested the individual adapters and found that they all work normally. I

conlude that the problem is with the sockets, not the adapters.

How can I diagnose and remedy this problem?

I'll be grateful for any suggestions.

The whole floor is on a single circuit breaker? What amp is the breaker? What else is on that same breaker? Any motors?
