Hello,

I was asking someone for help elsewhere related to the fact that the very second I paid for something on ebay today, my antivirus notified me the Firefox "updater.exe" had started up, despite the fact I was using Chrome at the time, and was it an attempt to steal my details?

Upon sending details of my problem I was told that the presence of "uProxyOverride - 127.0.0.1" set on my system could be an indicator of a serious infection.

I'd be very grateful if you could tell me whether you think it is or not?

Thank You.

Oh thank you. That's put my mind at rest somewhat, it was just that it literally began the update the moment I clicked the "confirm purchase" button as though the functions were connected, and a similar level of poster on a forum akin to this seemed very concerned about "uproxyoverride = 127.0.01" being there.

This forum was essentially my "second opinion", so perhaps I was overreacting to a coincidence.
