I have put it into the computer, but don't know how to see what's on it.

My computer is an ACER laptop which I use mostly for emails, to stay in touch with family and friends.

I'm really happy to have found this site - the name fits my feelings re: computers!

I hope someone out there will hear my plea for help!

Hi greatgram and Welcome -

If you already have the disk in your computer and nothing has happebed, try this >

Open Computer and you will see your drives (usually C for HDD and D for CD/DVD's)

If there is nothing listed on D drive, then Right Click it to find the comtents....

See how you go -

After you put the disk in the drive, go to your start menu. Click Computer.

You will see a page with all your drives listed. Look for DVD RW Drive. (if you don't have a dvd drive it may say CD Drive).

Click the drive letter to open it. You should then be able to see the contents of the disk.

OK - I'll do that. It will take me a little time, but I'll let you know. Thanks again!

I found it! Now I'll see what I can do with it.

At the top of the page it says computer, then a green bar went slowly across. Should I click on the X at the end?

The X is gone. What next?

I really appreciate the help that both of you have given me! I could not have gotten this far without you!

Don't do anything. The green bar is normal. Wait for it finish going slowly across. After it finishes the disk should open so you can see what it on it.

Finished!

But I don't see anything but the same page. Is there anything else I can do?

Once again, my heartfelt to Alabama and Australia.
