Sometime during the night Windows downloaded updates to my Dell desktop.  Screen response:  "updating stage 3 of 3  0% complete."

Then after awhile it restarted and went back to same screen.  Appears to be in a loop.  Tried System Restore, no restore point available.

Then attempted to load Windows install disk that came with system.,   It ran for awhile into about 27% installing, then  the response::::: Installation cancelled

" Windows could not update  computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed."

Any Suggestions
