Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we
continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other
countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of
Choice??????
Think about it!

All we have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS?

I celebrate Christmas...........but because it isn't celebrated by
everyone..............we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has
to be Season's Greetings.

It's not Christmas vacation, it's Winter Break. Isn't it amazing how
this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday?

We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend
anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a
problem with that.!
This says it all!

This is an editorial written by an
American citizen, published in a
Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please!

IMMIGRANTS,
NOT AMERICANS,
MUST ADAPT. !
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we
are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist
attacks on Sept. 11,
we have experienced a surge
in patriotism by the majority
of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had
barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining
about
the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who
is seeking a better life by coming to ! America.
Our population ! is almost entirely made up of descendants of
immigrants.
However, there
are a few things that those
who have recently come to
our country, and apparently some! born here , need to understand.
This idea of America being a
multicultural community
has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As
Americans......
we have our own culture, our
own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has
been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by
millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speakENGLISH , not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese,
Russian, or any other language.
Therefore, if you wish to become part
of our society, learn the language!
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian,
right wing, political sloga! n. We adopted this motto because Christian
men and women.......on Christian principles.............
founded this nation..... and this is clearly documented.
It is certainly appropriate to display it
on the walls of our schools.
If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the
world as
your new home........because
God is part of our culture.
If Stars and Stripes offend you, or
you don't like Uncle Sam, then you
should seriously consider a move
to another part of this planet.
We
are happy with our culture and have
no desire to change, and we really
don't care how you did things where
you came from.
This is
OUR COUNTRY,
our land, and our lifestyle.
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the
right to express his opinion and! we
will allow you every opportunity to do so!
But once you are done complaining....... whining..... . and
griping....... about our flag.......
our pledge...... our national motto........or our
way of life....I highly encourage you to
take advantage of one other Great American Freedom.......

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
It is Time for America to Speak up
If you agree -- pass this along

* Above is a paraphrased version of Air Force veteran Barry Loudermilk's ""This Is America. Like It or Leave It."
originally published in the "The Bartow Trader"
Which has been circulated around the web, via forwarded e-mails since 2001.

Because that's the definition of freedom... if you don't like something, get the *#$*@ out

Shouldn't this be in the "speak easy" forum?

Who is "OUR"???

I always thought it was stolen from the original people that were already here in North America.
Although THEY didn't call it that.

Whose country is it?
I'm confused.
Maybe it should be returned to the rightful owners.
Then everybody else can apply for citizenship.
Or just get deported back to Europe or where ever.............

After several hundred years of occupation of their lands by thieves & murderers, "THEY" are probably a little upset....

Love It or Leave It

Absolutely agree!

A. The rightful owners who were here first didn't have or attempt to make a country. They simply lived off of the land.

B. If you want to get real technical, NO ONE IS NATIVE TO AMERICA. If you read back in the history books they claim that the Native Americans crossed the Ice Bridge from Russia to modern day Alaska and then traveled all the way down to present day America.

C. In addition to what I stated in A the Native Americans didn't really own the land.

The Europeans were accustomed to own land and laid claim to it while they considered the Indians to be nomads with no interest to claim land ownership.

Edit: From what I've notice about ancient cultures from this side of the world including Native Americans (and Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas) all seemed to lack one thing that everyone else had. The Wheel. Maybe this tells us that man in the west had to appear after men in the East. Doesn't it seem odd too that among the Aztecs, Incas, Mayans, and Native Americans, they all collapsed over time because they could not fend off or could survive in finding new resources (Incas). Could the wheel have lead to the downfall of some of man's greatest civilizations?

And to take it further....
The Mayans who were considered the smartest civilization of all times, conceived the most accurate calendar known to man until recent times. (**) However, they lacked the wheel? There calendar was round, they knew about circles. However, they didn't realize they could actually use a circle for transportation.

Yes agreed, an excellent post.
Especially the right to leave if you can only find problems with it.
God Bless America...

Who is "OUR"???

Whoever chooses to be.

You can make that choice by applying for citizenship, or just by waiving the American Flag, not burning it, not waiving the Mexican or Palestinian flag

I always thought it was stolen from the original people that were already here in North America.
Although THEY didn't call it that.

Whose country is it?

Whoever chooses to defend it. United we stand, divided they fell.

Sorry, but the natives of this great nation were successfully divided and conquered by their enemies. I think we owe it to them to prevent ourselves from falling to that same fate. United we Stand, Divided we Fall.

The history of the Native Americans is a very sad one ... so perhaps we should try to learn from it??????????? Ya think?????

I'm confused.

Can't help you there, sorry. :flowers:

Maybe it should be returned to the rightful owners.

Or just get deported back to Europe or where ever.............

Sounds eminently practical, especially when you've got people with one Muslim and one Jewish Parent - where would you send them? :trumpet:

After several hundred years of occupation of their lands by thieves & murderers, "THEY" are probably a little upset....

Do you speak from personal experience?

United we stand, divided we end up like the Iroquois. Anybody even remember them? :inlove:
