I have Acer Aspire One Model NAV50. Need to add as much RAM as possible. Not sure what kind & spec RAM it takes. I am guessing it takes

Memory Memory size 1024.0 MB Memory type DDR2 SDRAM Memory speed 667.0 MHz

from PCWorld site.http://www.pcworld.com/product/518972/aspire-one-532h-2588-netbook.html

I found these RAMs:

http://www.amazon.com/Memory-Aspire-Notebooks-DDR2-667MHz-200-pin/dp/B008O532RG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1384666331&sr=8-5&keywords=2GB+Memory+Upgrade+4+Acer+Aspire+One

http://www.amazon.com/Memory-Upgrade-NetBook-DDR2-PC5300-PC2-667/dp/B00A9IDRXU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384666331&sr=8-1&keywords=2GB+Memory+Upgrade+4+Acer+Aspire+One

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cms-2gb-memory-upgrade-4-acer-aspire-one-netbook-kav50-kav60-nav50-nav60-z68-ddr2-pc5300-pc2-667/1306177991.p?id=mp1306177991&skuId=1306177991

Not too interested in those due to lack of reviews & don't know that seller. Would these other RAMS work & which is the best?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007609&IsNodeId=1&Description=acer%20netbook%20ram&name=Laptop%20Memory&Order=BESTMATCH

Could I get a better/faster RAM than DDR2 667 mhz? Is 2gb the max for this Netbook?

What is the exact model number of your lap top?

On the underside it says Model: NAV50

What other info should it say?

Where did you purchase this computer from, so I can get to the right site for Acer and look up the specs.

You can only get up to 2Gigs of RAM with one single RAM Stick only. You cannot buy 2 1 Gig Sticks.

Thank you. Anyone know if the RAMs from Newegg would work in this netbook, especially the GSkill or do I need to buy one of the first three I linked?

Could I get a better/faster RAM than DDR2 667 mhz?

Any RAM that says it will support the NAV50 model number will work, and I would stick to the DDR2-667 RAM.

The GSkill does not say it supports the exact model but does say it supports "most Netbook and Notebook computers". What are the odds it would work? Prefer GSkill since it has reviews and good rep.

Compatible with Gateway T-6345U, Acer AS4530-6823, Acer EX5630-4928, Acer AOD150-1577, Sony VAIO VGN-NS230E/S, Sony VAIO VGN-NS230E/W, ASUS Eee PC EEEPC901-BK002X, ASUS Eee PC EPC900HA-BLK006X, ASUS Eee PC EEEPC901-W003X, Lenovo Idea pad 41872NU, and most Netbook and Notebook computers run DDR2 667 (PC2 5300).

With ACER and other OEM's that specific RAM has to say specifically that it is designed for that PC.

Once I get the ram is there anything I need to do before/after taking the existing ram out and putting the new ram in?

Just be very careful, and discharge all static electricity prior to removing and installing the ram.

Remove power such as the wall power, and the battery.
