Just recently when I turn on my external hard drive my computer hangs up, can't do anything!! I have tried 2 different drives and the same thing happens, computer freezes, SOLID!! I open device manger before turning on the drive but as soon as it shows computer freezes. Tried different usb slots, same thing happens. It's not the drives, tried them both on laptop and the work fine. Scanned with Eset 7, Malaware etc. no problems. All updates are up to date with SP3 Windows XP Home and did a recovery console with no luck. Thanks for any help
