Software for managing visits and clients?

Hi everyone.
I run a community project where we help people with technology. People buy visit passes and they come and get help. I am looking for free software that will let us manage our clients, and scan barcodes so that we can log visits.


Any ideas?

I think you might struggle on a Windows system to get something free for this...


It can 'easily' be done on Linux though.
