I have Dell Insperion 530S
Processor: Genuine Intel 2160 @ 1.80HGz

OS: Windows Vista

I am having trouble loading my Windows.  One day my computer shut down and during the re-boot, I would get the Windows screen asking me for my administrator name and password.  But it would accept my answer.  So I re-booted and hit the F8 key to be able to go to the last working login.  That worked but the system was so slow.  I tried to load my Anti-Virus scan but the computer would shut down on me.

What is my first step in finding out what the problem could be?
