On my iPad I recently updated the OS to the latest version and all works fine with the exemption of a scrabble game I play online. The game says I need to down load Adobe Flash Player but when I attempt to do so I get a message saying there are no Adobe Flash players for this OS? Any ideas thanks?

I don't think the iPad supports Adobe Flash Player.

More info here.  Hope that helps.

Nope. iOS devices (i.e. iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad Mini) do not support Adobe Flash...and never have...at least not without jailbreaking the iOS device.

Thanks to you both for that. I have done a bit of googling and it seems iTunes have a flash player that works on iPads etc but of course it cost money. I might check that out and see what gives there?

Yes, there are "alternative" browser apps that will in essence make use of Flash. To my knowledge, they all remotely run Flash on their servers...so when you use something that requires Flash, it is run on their server. This might mean there is some lag. I have never used such an app, so I cannot say how well they will work. If you only need it for a scrabble game, then likely any lag will not really effect you.

Hey there center, glad you were able to find a workaround.

Inquiring minds would love to know - what was the name of the app that you purchased?

Thanks.

Hi Winterland the one I downloaded from the Apple APS was photon. It has got me back up and running again but of course it isn't as good as the original Adobe Flash player on the OS system before I upgraded to OS 7.03 but I am happy though that I can continue with my scrabble games online.

Hi center, thanks for getting back to me (and the BC community) with the name of the app and your impressions.

That is what makes these Forums a great resource.

Have a great day and good luck winning some Scrabble. I love that game.

I believe the only app the allows flash games is called Photon. Other apps, such as Puffin, only do videos. However I am not sure if they have a lite version or possibly a trial. And of course, know the speeds will be horrendous, since they are utilizing another server to convert the flash.

Hi Felipe227 yes you are correct with Photon and it is serving the purpose for me with online scrabble and I have to say I haven't any problems with it so far. I don't watch movies or videos online at all. Thanks for your input.
