Go to Services and look for a non-system service which is stopped, right click on it and choose start.

Hate to open this topic again but I also have group policy client not starting sometimes.  I may go for weeks of daily start-ups without an error then a few weeks with errors.  I restart until I get a boot with no error.  I believe i only have one administrator account, no guest accounts.  The only problem I really see when the GPC doesn't run is Chrome will not start.  There may be more but I haven't noticed.  One time when client didn't start i looked in service and indeed it was stopped and i could not start it.  There have been times when I did not get an error and it was also stopped and could not be started.  I have seen posts about GPC not being important unless you are in an Active Directory.  I am just curious why it sometimes starts and sometimes doesn't.  I have fairly limited computer knowledge so forgive my rambling.

A lot of members will look at the date of this topic and not bother with it.  I would suggest starting your own topic in order to get the kind of attention you need.
