Hello friends, I am a new comer needing your valued help. I am using an Acer Aspire X1880 desk 2 GB Ram, purchased with windows 7 home 64 bits installed. My windows is not updating,- "You must first install an update for your windows update."  I clicked "install". A search is made for an update and after several minutes I get a windows update base error 0 x 8007002 I tried Microsoft fixit and failed.

I reinstalled my windows with Microsoft genuine disk  to Factory default. I have now installed windows 7 home X 86 ( 32 bit)..

I feel that some drives are also not properly working. Microsoft drive centre is not responding. I tried to install Driver Detective  and failed.

Will some one Please help? Thank you. Sathyams

Acer Aspire X1880....that doesn't seem to be correct when I do a search. Could be your Lexmark Printer identity.

Try to use this Windows Repair Tool if you haven't tried it. Windows Repair (All-in-One) Portable Download

Visiting Acer's site for driver info I see they have something called Acer Updater...Acer Updater Download

That is all I know about that. I am assuming that if you can install it it will update your computer's drivers....

You can also check in your Device Manager for info on your drivers, etc. How to use the device manager is

in this link: How To Access Device Manager From the Control Panel in Windows 7

Note other links there for using the device manager to find and install drivers and trouble shoot.
