Hi,

While I was getting help on the Bleeping Computer malware forum, it was noticed that I had an issue with my hard drive. I have ran check disk but as far as I can tell it did not fix the errors.

You have bad sectors on the drive. Any number above 0 can indicate an impending hard drive failure. In your case, it's a small amount and it may never develop into a serious  problem. However, I  would always err on the side of caution and back up all of your important data immediately.

Do you know the brand of your Hard Drive? (If not, look in the device manager under "System" in the control panel to find out). Once you know the brand, you can download a test program such as Seatools (for seagate drives), Data Lifeguard (for WD drives), etc. which should give you a more surefire answer about what's going on.

Again, back up your data first.
