Hi

Useful information!
One suggestion, Do not delete a User Profile unless You First backup anything that is in it that You would hate to lose.

This could include Documents, Pictures, Videos and Music.

There are other things that could be stored in a User profile too.

I would suggest Opening up the Task manager

Press the Ctrl + Alt + Del kys at the same time and select Task manager.

Select the Performance tab.

You should see a screen like this example from My Windows 8 Computer.

task-manager.jpg

What Do You show for CPU and memory usage.

High CPU usage or Very high memory usage can cause a slowdown of the computer.

If the CPU usage is High, Click on the CPU tab, And sort it so that the Highest CPU use is at the top. If anything is high, Please post back with the name.

Good Luck

Roger

The first question is, what is the model of your Toshiba, and how much RAM is installed in it.  Min. is 4gb, 8gb makes 8 run a little better, 12gb is the right amount.  Most of the complaints have been due to third party software slowing systems down, along with not enough RAM installed.
