Hello -

Can you download Temp File Cleaner by Old Timer <=Bleep Computer link
Usage Instructions:

  • Download TFC from the download link above and save the file on your desktop.
  • Close ALL running applications as TFC will terminate them before attempting to clean up the temporary files.
  • Double-click on the TFC icon.
  • When the program opens, click on the Start button.  TFC will terminate the Explorer process and all running applications and then begin the process of cleaning out all of your temp folders.
  • When done, press OK to reboot your computer and finish the cleanup.
  • Or -
  • Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop <= My Geeks2Go link.

Next - Try to download Security Check by Screen317 from HERE <= BleepComputer

Note -

If you can not, then please try it from one of these links SpywareInfo or direct link
* Save it to your Desktop.
* Double-click SecurityCheck.exe
* Follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
* A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
Note: If a security program requests permission to access the Internet, allow it to do so.

Tell me ALL of the ones that work .........

Thank You -

Edited to add the extra links -

Hi LOVEMYPC -
Which link was that download from, and how did it go ?

And the same with the other set of links ( TFC ) ?

If you have not used all of them, delete your desktop icons and test each one

Hello - Remember that this is not your old XP now .....

why does it say my browser security settings are set i have to use the box then to post it box,i never had to do this before.

Please try to explain this a bit better - It currently means ?? to me -

Since the last few versions of Windows, quite a few things have altered -

A couple of things -
I am asking if you can use these links. I do not want you to post these if there is no problem.
What Browser are you currently using, as this can read things in different ways ?
Try all of these with Internet Explorer ( I advise to Never Use Chrome ). With the problems related to Chrome, and I have asked a few people to delete it to fix problems.

Your problem started as "downloads disappear" so, ( first ) I am trying to find if it is Bleeping Computer site downloads, or all site that are causing the problem. So I have given you links to about 4 sites above -

What you must first tell me is, > Can you download from all of these links, or only a few of them < then we will look at your next concerns -

Thank You -

HI,I was able to use I.E. on all of the sites, what i ment having to use that box was it would not let me copy and paste.

I use F/F most of the time.

I used the HERE as the download site all of the scans worked in I.E.

This post is from I.E.

it would not let me copy and paste. <= This is your Windows 8 Security Settings. Review them and learn how to "Lower your security settings" just a bit as you get setup on the Windows 8 system. I think you just need to "play" with this new computer - Also Uninstall Google Chrome from Programs and Features -

You can use the "More Reply Options" tab at the bottom instead of just posting to the reply box and sometimes that makes it eaier ...

I think it is just time for you to "play with your Security Settings", as this is your only problem. There is no Infection or any other problems for now.
The HERE link was Bleeping Comp, but I just wanted you to test the other links to see if all the other site links worked.

There are no problems showing in the Security Check .......

Thank You -
