I am using a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Vista Home Basic. I have done two complete install's of the OS in the last month. Both times it was different than the Vista I am VERY used to. After the first install I felt it was changed because I left the router on. The second time (about 3 weeks later) I turned the router off by unplugging it. Same results. That led me to believe the CD is corrupt. I opened it up to view the files and it has several files added to it. After doing so and also running SFC and CHKDSK my laptop froze. When it came back on I had lost all my security programs. I had the paid verson of Malwarebytes Pro, Hitmanpro, CCleaner, etc. I also had a entire folder of programs I used often. ALL GONE! I can not do anything at all now. I can't open, save, run, NOTHING! When I try to save a picture in Paint, a box opens with a yellow caution and says "No error occurred". After start up I get "C:\Windows\system32\SystemPropertiesComputerName.exe  "The Parameter is incorrect."" Last week MWB blocked an out-going to Korea. Also my keyboard acts different. I need help. I can't run a program to post for you.

ADW Cleaner

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Clean.
  • Confirm each time with Ok.
  • You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

I am unable to do the above. "Failed - Download error", When I first came back here to check for reply's the title was there but the body said "NO_SUCH_TOPIC". I then went to my page and clicked this topic and was relieved it is still here. I am helpless. Perhaps something can be done from safe mode but I doubt it. EVERYTHING involves the C drive.

I have lots of programs on a flash drive, I cant open anything.... Is there a online scan?

Why was this moved? I need help with my PC. Where should it be posted for help? Above say's "Moved frin Vusta to Am I Infected - Hamluis." Because of the spelling I wonder if this is legit?

Can someone move this to "Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs". I placed it in the wrong spot. Or should I just repost??

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<==.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include the link to this topic in your new topic and a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

Once you have created the new topic, please reply back here with a link to the new topic.
