Hello,

I cannot download anything on my laptop.

I need to update my financials, but can't get by or to the security screen.

Tried to download java update, but can't.

sometimes I can't get to a page and it won't refresh either.

Hi Joe,

What happens when you try to download? Any error message? Does it happens with all your browsers?

Is this from the same computer you posted here? How did you solve the redirect problem?

Hello Joe,

Sounds like your PC is infected with a Virus or Malware.

Can you download in Safe Mode? Power on, tap F8 key at BIOS screen. Select Safe Mode with Networking.

Try  to download. If you can you'll need to post in our Security Forum. They can help you there to remove the infection.

Hope this helps,

John

I would also suggest trying a different browser for the moment.

I had a client earlier in the week with this issue, he was infected with malware.  Using Firefox, he couldn't download anything, using Internet Explorer he could.

I agree with Nephilim, it does sound like it's infected with a virus or malware.

Hi sleepy dude,

Yes this is the same computer, I have another hard drive with a fresh install. (had to buy cds from dell). I don't remember what ever happened with redirect issue.

Java Issue says: "JavaSetup7u45.exe could be downloaded"

I have Norton 360.

I installed Malwarebytes and ran until clean.

I install Spybot and ran until clean.

I have CCleaner and run regularily.

Thanks
