Tired of stowing that laptop during takeoff? Well soon you may not have to.

In a landmark decision today the Federal Aviation Administration issued a decision today stating that Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) are safe for use at all times during flight, with limited exception.

Cellular devices must be placed in airplane mode for the duration of the flight due to continuing FCC regulation prohibiting cellular signal broadcasting while airborne.

While this change will not take place immediately due to differing implementations across airlines, it is expected that most devices will be cleared for use on major airlines by the end of 2013.

That is great! I think it's really annoying have to turn everything off then at the right time unpacking everything again and turning it back on again!

It's very hard to imagine all the crazy things that things really are like.

Electrons act like waves.. no they don't exactly, they act like particles.. no they don't exactly.

Words and ideas can change the world.

Good news, and it is good that I not have to shut everything down.

Thank you.

This is some of the best news for the airline industry in a long time but sadly, for me, it is a little late as my frequent airline travels are over.  Nevertheless, I am glad for those who currently travel by air.
